Diandang Monopoly, originally called Doraemon Monopoly, was released by Zhiguan Technology Co., Ltd. in December 1998. Zhia Interactive Entertainment Group reissued it in February 2007, based on the characters Doraemon and Monopoly.
The game was authorized and developed in collaboration with Shogakukan in Japan. Due to the popularity of the animation in Hong Kong, with the original voice actors from TVB providing the voice-over work, the game sold over 100,000 copies, breaking the sales record for standalone games in Hong Kong.
